Land Acknowledgment
We would like to acknowledge that the land on which we reside is the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Squamish, Musqueam, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations.
We recognize that our presence on this land is the result of a long history of colonization, dispossession, and oppression of Indigenous peoples. We acknowledge the ongoing impact of this history and the ongoing resilience, strength, and resistance of Indigenous peoples.
We are committed to learning about and understanding the history, culture, and traditions of the Squamish, Musqueam, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations and other Indigenous peoples. We recognize our responsibility to work towards reconciliation, decolonization, and the honoring of Indigenous rights and sovereignty.
We offer our respect and gratitude to the Squamish, Musqueam, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations and all Indigenous peoples who have cared for this land and continue to do so. We commit to working towards a future that is just, equitable, and respectful of Indigenous peoples and the land.
